We successfully co-hosted the event “PURE GLOBAL MEDTECH INTERNATIONALIZATION SEMINAR”, in collaboration with Pure Global. This insightful event provided attendees with essential knowledge on expanding medical technology businesses into the ASEAN region.

During the seminar, industry experts from Pure Global shared key strategies for navigating regulatory landscapes, securing permits and licenses, and connecting with potential business partners. We also highlighted how Singapore serves as a compelling gateway for MedTech companies looking to expand into ASEAN and beyond, offering a pro-business environment, strong legal framework, and innovation-driven ecosystem.

Additionally, we showcased how CSSD supports companies in establishing their presence in Singapore—whether through setting up early to mid-stage offices, R&D labs, or manufacturing facilities. We proudly co-organized the event, “CROSS-BORDER INVESTMENT SALON 2024,” in partnership with Y&T Lawyers. The event brought together over 50 participants to engage in insightful discussions on key topics such as internationalization, global business expansion, and the complexities of cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

During the session, CSSD-IBCC highlighted the value it brings in supporting companies to achieve their internationalization goals. We also showcased how Singapore serves as a strategic springboard for businesses to access and thrive in the global market.

The Jinji Lake Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition is an esteemed annual event hosted in both Suzhou and Singapore. Designed to recognize and reward promising startups, the competition offers attractive prizes while actively supporting companies aiming to expand into the Chinese market. In Singapore, the event is held each year at the IBCC, fostering innovation and cross-border collaboration.

From Innovation to Internationalization is a collaborative event co-organized by A*STAR and CSSD, bringing together Singaporean and Chinese startups, SMEs, experienced business leaders, research institutions, and incubators.

Mr. Goh Kian Seng, Head of the Singapore office for CSSD, shared insights into strategic developments in China. He highlighted how CSSD supports business growth through its diverse township developments, each offering unique value propositions tailored to meet the needs of different industries and enterprises.

Mr. Tan Chuan Seng, General Manager of the A*STAR Partner’s Centre in Suzhou Industrial Park, highlighted the center’s extensive capabilities, grant support programs, and business matching services. He shared success stories of how the center has helped incubate and guide numerous high-quality Singaporean companies in their journey to enter the Chinese market, beginning with Suzhou Industrial Park.

The event featured an engaging panel discussion exploring the intricacies of entering the Chinese market as foreign companies, shedding light on its vast potential and challenges. On August 2, 2023, the Bank of Suzhou Business Symposium 2023 successfully brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts to explore the challenges and opportunities for technology companies expanding overseas. Organized by Bank of Suzhou and co-organized by China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group, the event provided valuable insights into international business growth.

During the symposium, Bank of Suzhou shared its expertise in supporting companies through their global expansion journey, offering real-life success stories of businesses that have successfully navigated international markets. Selected companies also took the stage to discuss their overseas expansion experiences and current funding needs, providing first-hand perspectives on the realities of scaling globally.

A key highlight of the event was the discussion on Suzhou Industrial Park’s accelerated outward direct investment channel (ODI), a unique opportunity designed to facilitate international growth for companies with a presence in Suzhou Industrial Park.
